I love summer. I love the lack of structure, the warm summer nights, camping, sleeping in, staying up late, swimming, the whole shebang. I do grow weary of the whining, fighting, MILLIONS of Popsicle sticks in my grass, 13 extra kids in my backyard, and the laundry that has officially tripled in the last two months. We went camping at the beach this last weekend. It was really fun. Caden wasn't a HUGE fan of sleeping in the tent (thus, neither was I...Spence still managed to snore through it all...), but other than being a wee bit tired, we had a great time. Here are some pictures of all our camping fun:
I carried Caden around in our backpack most of the time to keep him from eating dirt, bugs, and leftover hotdogs...he would just crash right on my back!

It looks like you guys had fun. Caden is such a doll. I also carried Heath around crashed out on my back at the beach recently! Funny. Summer...there's nothing like it!

Camping is so fun. In a strange sort of pain in the butt way (with kids I mean) I think that I would really like camping on a beach, I have only done mountain camping. My kids start school tues, I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!!!

How brave you are!! It looks like fun! Good times can always be had camping...just not when I go camping!
I think that camping on the beach is such a better idea then camping in the snow like my family used to do.
